Post-Production

Editing

The footage is digitized and run through our Avid editing systems. Here we can “cut” the footage into scenes and segments and piece them together into a sequence that will roughly represent what the final video will look like.  Any material that was  provided material to be used in the video will be converted and inserted into the project.  Most of the time editing involves just the Producer and Editor, however you may sit in on the editing process if scheduled ahead of time.

Review

Once a rough cut is finished, you will be provided with an FTP link for the computer to download a preview copy of the video.  This will usually be a close to completed version of the video, with only small adjustments remaining (such as color adjustment, or audio level tweaking).

Mastering

Once you and the Producer have completed the reviewing process, the video is ready for mastering. This is where the final elements of the video will be adjusted and the video will be converted to a final delivery format (which would have been discussed in the conceptual meeting).  Any additional copies or conversions are also done in this process.

And now your video is completed and ready for distribution!  Every video project is different from another, so each will have unique properties and a process to them.  If you still have questions or concerns about your video, please contact us as our staff is always standing by ready to assist you.
