ABOUT THE SHOW:

The Art of One Dojo is a community driven YouTube Channel that explores different martial art styles and breaks them down into a variety of topics presented as weekly episodes.

ABOUT SECTION:

The Art of One Dojo is a YouTube Channel and community created by Martial Arts, for Martial Artists and enthusiasts.

This channel is dedicated to providing answers to the many questions we receive about the martial arts. We will explore topics such as choosing schools, comparing arts, the origin and history of different arts, benefits for children, real life scenarios, sparring tips, martial arts in cinema, interviews, and much more.

This is a positive community aimed at highlighting the strengths and benefits of the martial arts and how to overcome a lot of the toxicity and politics that can often occur.

Each weekly episode covers a different topic, sometimes delving into multi-part episodes that take deeper looks at individual arts. The Art of One Dojo is an open forum, and we heavily encourage discussion from our viewers. We want to grow as a community so we would love to hear your feedback and make this channel grow as the premier Martial Arts video resource!

Mr. Dan began training in American Kenpo in 1993, and currently holds a 5th degree black belt. His experience spans through multiple schools and versions of the art, including Tracy Kenpo, Traditional Ed Parker Kenpo, Jeff Speakman’s Kenpo 5.0, and other Kenpo/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu hybrid systems.

Over the course of his training, Mr. Dan has also teaches children’s classes with the effort to introducing them to the arts at a fundamental level. Not to just to mimic the moves, but to understand the reasons behind them, and how to apply critical thinking and adapt what they learn to apply to real world scenarios.

His love for all martial arts drives him to explore, learn, and share the vast world of different styles, cultures, and training techniques that are out there. In the summer of 2018, he began formal training in JuJutsu and Judo, as well as exploratory training into Shotokan to round out his own education while also bringing different perspectives to each episode.
