Fade 2 Black Productions, Inc. is thrilled to announce not one, but two independent horror films currently in development. The current Renaissance of sophisticated horror films has established a clear message; that audiences still want to be thrilled. Independent film production was always at the heart of Fade 2 Black Productions, and both projects have projected release in late 2026.
Our Story
Established in 2001, Fade 2 Black Productions, Inc. is a Boca Raton, Florida based company founded by Zachery D. Powell and Daniel J. Sanz. The two friends teamed up in college and established a production partnership that offered corporate client services and independent movie production.
The company has produced comedy skits, short films, and has collaborated with other Florida based filmmakers.
Film Production

In 2002, Fade 2 Black Productions, Inc. teamed up with Clear Channel Communications
and produced a horror/comedy film centered around the on-air personalities of Paul Castronovo and Young Ron Brewer, famed DJ’s of the then 94.9 radio station.
The film spoofed the common tropes of creature features, and centers around a Chupacabra that wreaks havoc in the broadcast studio.
Paul and Young Ron’s Dead Air received two special VIP viewings at the 2002 Fort Lauderale International Film Festival and was based on a script submitted by a listener as part of a radio contest.
Fade 2 Black has also released a series of online comedy skits and short films including Sniper in 2002, the short action film Project 300, and Life Without Boundaries: The Chris Meyers Story, a documentary exploring the life of a man defying his cerebral palsy and finding a career in major league baseball. The company also produces The Art of One Dojo, a YouTube channel featuring hundreds of original documentaries and video essays based on the Martial Arts.
Collaborations

Fade 2 Black Productions, Inc. has collaborated with several other filmmakers over the past 25 years. Collaborations include Indelible Works, providing on set audio recording for the short films Girl in the Window, and SCAR, and providing post production work on Hear Me. In 2011 Fade 2 Black Productions, Inc. provided on set audio recording for Tony Allegro’s short film The First Night.
Road Ahead
Fade 2 Black Productions, Inc. has recently partnered with Monarch Studio, an event studio located in Downtown Boca Raton that features a 24 x 11 foot 4K LED video wall and cinematic studio cameras. In addition to corporate videos, the space is prime for limitless backgrounds, green screen effect, and the visual settings utilized in independent film production.
Both horror films are currently in development and will enter pre-production in early 2026 for a late 2026 release. More details will be provided in the near future align with actor and crew opportunities.
